Christopher Ford's Party Mix

Party Mix is a boutique DJ company founded by Christopher Ford in 1982. Based in the tri-state area, Ford has specialized in society parties and charity benefits offering a hip alternative to orchestras playing covers of frequently heard dance songs. The myriad of songs and genres he works with at easily controlled volumes gives party planners a successful entertainment option. Ford owns sound equipment and lighting systems to handle events for up to 500 people and partners with larger sound/lighting companies to handle bigger, more complicated events.

Christopher Ford's music taste was shaped early by artists like Jimi Hendrix, and developed through his passion for New Wave bands including The Romantics, The B-52's, Talking Heads, and Devo, alongside classic rock acts like Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors, and Boston. His DJ experience began at high school parties in Greenwich and continued at the University of Virginia, where he took over DJ duties at fraternity events using professional Yamaha sound systems.
