Style Matters is the brainchild of a long time Chicago DJ collective, Orchard Lounge. Having played at just about every lounge and club in Chicago, they've shared the stage with such reputable acts as RJD2, Nicolas Jaar, The Magician, DJ Krush, Jamie Jones, Aeroplane, Metro Area, Lindstrom, Booka Shade, and K-OS, to name a few. When not performing for higher-end events, they focus on original compositions and exposing audiences to sounds they may not have previously been familiar with.
Style Matters shares an affinity for a range of different styles of music, from funk and soul to classic hip hop, downtempo and house to classical and jazz, and prides itself on versatility. Style Matters consists of 24 of the most talented DJs in Chicago, each with their own independent style but sharing a common vision: they want to work for people who have the desire to create a unique and incredibly enjoyable experience for their guests, not provide them with yet another evening of standard staples people grew tired of years ago.
